The Embraer E190 is one of 30 newly acquired aircraft Alliance is adding to its regional fleet with a contract to build a hangar and maintenance facility at Rockhampton Airport to help service the airlines entire fleet of over 70 aircraft.

Rockhampton Airport will be home to Alliance Airline’s new maintenance and repair facility after the airlines decision to return to Queensland from overseas. The new maintenance and repair facility in Rockhampton could potentially create 225 jobs and inject $30 million into the local economy every year.

Mitcon provided BMD with a specialised aircraft pavement crew, with extensive experience in this field. The crew were able to draw on years of aircraft knowledge gained from similar projects throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. Mitcon also provided Supervision & Management services as part of the project which allowed us to deliver quality results whilst maintaining adequate resources throughout the project duration.
